This pre basic course aims to increase students’ command of English and equip them with essential skills that will enhance their learning of engineering at the college. This course integrates the four pillars of language learning: Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening, and emphasizes beginning vocabulary and communication skills. The course makes use of a variety of techniques for effective text comprehension. Basic simple grammatical structures are introduced and practiced. The lessons are structured to make students active participants and introduces the basics of oral presentation. Each student will prepare two short presentations applying the skills acquired in class.
