One of the biggest challenges of scientific research is to find solutions to threats to humanity. SARS-CoV-2 and the related illness COVID-19 is an example of such a threat. Researchers and pharmaceutical companies are currently working on developing vaccines and treatments for COVID-19. Science applies different methods and approaches to cope with these kinds of challenges. In this course, the students will be introduced to basic concepts of scientific research, including: the stages through which research develops, methods of collecting and analyzing data, and the process of drawing conclusions from research findings.
