Abstract:
Principles of constructing computer communication networks and the various mechanisms activated in them. The course’s focus is on the Internet, its physical and logical structure and the principles of constructing network applications over it. The main line in the course is the 5 layer model. The course is organized by a top-down approach following Kurose and Ross for methodology for teaching computers communications.Abstract:
Students will learn about models of computing machines: finite automata, pushdown automata, and Turing machines. Students will demonstrate knowledge of Formal languages, their descriptions, and their relationships to the computational models; Students will learn the limits of the various models.Abstract:
Cryptography basic blocks: One way f?unctions, Pseudo random generators and f?unctions.
Constructing encryption schemes and signature schemes from the basic blocks.
Interactive protocols and Zero knowledge proofs.
Sharing a secret such that only a subgroup of participants can reconstruct it. Secure multi party computation, preserving the privacy of each party.
Differential privacy in databases. Using randomness to employ privacy.Abstract:
The course discusses the security requirements of networks, and methods to attack them, symmetric and public-key encryption methods, ways to attack ciphers, key distribution protocols, and principles of Internet security. It also discusses system security. The course includes necessary math background and practice in applying and deciphering some simple ciphers.תקציר:
במסגרת הסמינר יוצגו בפני המשתתפים בו מספר נושאים , אותם יחקרו וילמדו הסטודנטים . בכל שבוע יוצג נושא שונה, עליו ייערך דיון ע"י כל המשתתפים. בנוסף, כל סטודנט יכין עבודה סמינריונית מעמיקה לגבי אחד הנושאים של הסמינר. דו"ח עבודת הסמינריון יוגש בסופו של הקורס. |
