The course aims to acquaint students with the fundamental principles of strategic management – both theoretical and practical ones. Along the course, the evolution of the pertinent theories will be presented, and students will be exposed systematically to the questions and challenges senior management face - with regards to strategy formulation and implementation. Main topics to be covered include: decision making in business organizations, principles of strategic planning under various market and business settings, establishing business ventures – both independent and within existing organizations, and strategic considerations in the international environment
