Courses

  • Laboratory of Mechanical Properties and Strength (30128)
  • Course summary:

    Abstract:

This course provides students with practical experience in testing and calculating of mechanical properties of materials.

Using various measurement equipment, the students apply topics learned in Material Science courses 1&2, and Strength of materials

1 about responses of materials to different types of mechanical loading and heat-treatments.

The students acquire knowledge of operating standard engineering

measurement equipment and deepen their understanding of material properties.
  • Engineering from Principle to Practical (30133)
  • Course summary:

    Abstract:

In this course students will study practical issues in mechanical engineering. In addition, the students are required to build engineering projects in groups, where each project will be accompanied by an appropriate report (including presentations, poster, video etc.) At the end of each project, an engineering competition will be held between the students; the grade of each project will be affected by the results of the competition.
  • Fluid Mechanics and Measurements Laboratory (30161)
  • Course summary:

    Abstract:

This course is designed to provide students with concepts in measuring systems, transducers and measuring devices, data logging systems, calibrations, thermal experiments, environmental conditions experiments.
