The course covers major fields which all together provide fundamental knowledge of Vehicle powertrains, its structure, components and system architecture. It covers mainly powertrain and engine design, electric drive design and operation as well as operating parameters, safety and control. The course is divided in two major parts. First part focuses on full electric and hybrid powertrain while the second part focuses on internal combustion engine as a prime mover in conventional as well as hybrid powertrains.
