    The main topics of the course are vector algebra, static particles,

    the equivalent system of forces, the equilibrium of rigid bodies, the analysis of frames and machines,

    the analysis of trusses, distributed forces and the center of mass, the moment of inertia and friction.

    Abstract:

    A general introduction to computational methods and their role in engineering in general, and in mechanical engineering in particular. Development of the equations underlying computational methods and their implementation in self-written code using MATLAB or Python. Integration of commercial software and demonstration of advanced capabilities.
