Lecturer Dr. Albocher Uri

Courses

  • Engineering Graphics 1 (30130)
  • Course summary:

    Abstract:

The course provides students with a basic knowledge of engineering graphics, including the theoretical side - the descriptive geometry - as well as basic skills for the use of engineering graphics packages, and execution of computer - aided technical drawing,

including the presentation of three dimensional parts according

to the Israeli standards. Hands on practice with advanced

CAD tools will be provided. The student will get the required fundamentals for advanced courses in mechanical engineering design and will be familiar with the required terminology for developing engineering projects.
  • Statics of Rigid Bodies (30135)
  • Course summary:

    Abstract:

The main topics of the course are vector algebra, static particles,

the equivalent system of forces, the equilibrium of rigid bodies, the analysis of frames and machines,

the analysis of trusses, distributed forces and the center of mass, the moment of inertia and friction.
  • Computational Methods and Computer Simulations in Mechanical Engineering (30235)
  • Course summary:

    Abstract:

A general introduction to computational methods and their role in engineering in general, and in mechanical engineering in particular. Development of the equations underlying computational methods and their implementation in self-written code using MATLAB or Python.
