  • Introduction to Aerodynamics (30328)
  • תקציר הקורס:

    Abstract:

The objective of the course is to acquire general knowledge of the aerodynamics of aircrafts and the study of wing airfoils.

This course is an introductory course emphasizing the historical background of aircraft development.

The course will provide a review of the basics of flow while emphasizing aerodynamics.

Development of Euler and Bernoulli equations. Flow around a cylinder in order to develop Kutta conditions.

Thin wing (curvature, angle of attack). The effect of thickness. Finite wing (Vortex, Elliptical lift distribution), Prandtl's lift line, wind-tunnel corrections, concepts on flight at large angles of attack.
