Courses

  • User Interfaces Characterization (10147)
  • Course summary:

    Abstract:

In recent years Human Computer Interface was proven critical to the success of software systems and computer and mobile applications. The ability to understand the needs is effecting

the implementation design and interface technologies to be used as interface.

The right combination and fusion of computation, data and sensors enabling the creation of creative and smart interfaces. Nonetheless we must also know the theory which lays the basis for human machine interaction and how it effects the design.

The course connects between the analysis, design and evaluation theoretical background of human computer interaction and real world applications and industry projects by introducing real case studies and project from the hi-tech industry and research.

    The topics discussed are:

    • Methodologies for collecting and verifying users’ needs and requirements

    • Using Best practices for defining HCI requirements, usability and interaction design

    • Using methodologies and tool to develop HCI while emphasizing design and formatting issues

    • Methods for QA and usability evaluation

    • User research analysis

    • POC design
  • Visual Design of User Interfaces (10225)
  • Course summary:

    Abstract:

The mobile market, including cellphones, tablets, smart watches and smart cars have become an indispensable part of our lives.

The computational power and complex sensors of mobile devices enable simultaneous completion of tasks in different interfaces including voice, text, motion, touch, typing, tapping, etc.

Planning and implementing mobile user interfaces based on user requirements and an analysis of the required tasks require sophisticated and comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all mobile interface components.

The course will include discussion of the mobile world from the technological aspects, the design aspects and the marketing and business aspects.
  • Workshop: Hands On Digital Products Entrepreneursh (10231)
  • Course summary:

    Abstract:

Entrepreneurship in the digital age requires to understand and verify market need, know how to create a market research, develop an MVP and evolving prototype methodologies, go to market plan, choose a business model, raise funds and focus on data driven marketing.
  • Introduction to Marketing (40109)
  • Course summary:

    Abstract:

The course provides a framework for analysing marketing problems and identifying alternative solutions, while offering fundamental theoretical and practical knowledge for understanding the modern marketing landscape and its holistic management within organizations. Throughout the course, the “language of marketing” will be introduced through an overview of key concepts and processes, with attention to both the micro environment (including customers and competitors) and the macro environment (including various external influences).
  • Human-Computer Interaction (40220)
  • Course summary:

    Abstract:

The course provides tools for planning, designing, implementing and evaluating human-computer interfaces from the user's point of view with an emphasis on understanding his psychology. In the course, they will learn approaches to interface design with a deep understanding of the user's needs, techniques for examining the usability of the interface and methods for evaluating its quality. The course includes the study of theoretical material combined with familiar interface examples that are in daily use and practical high school work, designing and implementing a user interface in dedicated software for building a prototype.
