    Abstract:

    This course focuses on defining concepts and developing tools for analyzing and understanding dynamic physical systems. We will learn to recognize mathematical models for continuous linear systems. We will learn to describe linear systems in state space and to linearize non-linear systems. We will solve state equations using Laplace transforms and other analytical methods. We will learn to describe systems using transfer f?unctions, and complex systems as a combination of subsystems using block diagrams. We will discuss system stability as well as their frequency response. We will analyze the system's response to sinusoidal i?nput (frequency response, Bode plots), and learn to analyze Bode plots.
