Courses

  • Linear Systems (30116)
  • Course summary:

    Abstract:

This is the first course in the series of control systems.

The focus is on the analysis of dynamic phyical systems. We will lean how to model different systems inclusing mechanical, electrical, flow and thermal. We will realize systems in the state space and learn how to linearize non-linear systems. We will obtain the systems response using either direct integration or the Laplace transform. We will analyze complex systems with the help of transfer f?unctions and block diagrams. We will be familiar with the property of systems: stability. Finally, we will be able to derive the systems frequency response to harmonic i?nputs and obtain Bode diagrams.
  • Engineering from Principle to Practical (30133)
  • Course summary:

    Abstract:

In this course students will study practical issues in mechanical engineering. In addition, the students are required to build engineering projects in groups, where each project will be accompanied by an appropriate report (including presentations, poster, video etc.) At the end of each project, an engineering competition will be held between the students; the grade of each project will be affected by the results of the competition.
  • Fluid Mechanics and Measurements Laboratory (30161)
  • Course summary:

    Abstract:

This course is designed to provide students with concepts in measuring systems, transducers and measuring devices, data logging systems, calibrations, thermal experiments, environmental conditions experiments.
